Springs is not a satellite of Denver. Play here is spread out rather than clustered downtown, with tables on the north end near Briargate and older storefronts out toward Old Colorado City, and the shops that last tend to do it on steady weekly attendance instead of big event weekends.
The thing that makes this market different is the military. Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever, and the Air Force Academy keep tens of thousands of people cycling through town on two- and three-year orders. Every PCS season, collections that have been in a closet since the last duty station suddenly need to be gone before the movers come.
That deadline is the real risk. A seller with three weeks is the easiest seller in the world to lowball, and buyers here know the base calendar as well as you do. If you are on orders, the fix is simple: start the conversation early, while you still have the option to say no.
How selling works when you’re in Colorado Springs
Photos first, always. A few pictures of the binder pages, close shots of anything graded or obviously valuable, and a rough count of the loose cards are enough for us to quote in writing.
From there you pick the format. We drive down from Denver — about an hour and fifteen minutes, which is a normal week for us, not a surcharge — and meet you at a library table or a police lobby. Active duty families often prefer an off-base public spot over coordinating a visitor pass, and that is usually simpler for everyone.

Common mistakes Colorado Springs sellers make
The biggest one is letting the moving date do the negotiating. People who have boxes in the garage and a report date in two weeks tend to accept the first offer that arrives, because any offer feels like a solved problem. Get a second number even on a deadline. It takes an evening.
The second is store credit on the way out of town. A credit offer is worth something when you are staying and playing. When you are PCSing to Germany in a month, credit at a shop on Academy Boulevard is worth nothing, and it is often the offer that looks the most generous on paper.
The third is assuming a long drive sets the price. Some sellers get quoted low locally and take it, figuring the nearest real market is in Denver and the gas is not worth it. You do not have to drive anywhere. We come to you, or the cards ship, and either way the offer is built from the same sales data we would use in Denver.
The last is skipping the ten minutes of homework. Look up two or three of your best cards on eBay’s sold listings before you talk to anybody, including us. It changes the whole conversation.
